1.The Jardim do Príncipe Real

Jardim do Príncipe Real, the city garden, can be the ideal place for you to start your detour around the district. It is located at a central point in Principal Real. You can’t miss the 100-year-old tree at the center, cooling down under its shade alongside with locals can be a unique experience.

If you are there on a weekend, you can visit the water museum “Patriarchal Reservoir” and the farmer’s market. Also, on the last Saturday of every month, you can see the antique and craft fair on the same location.

2.The Reservatório da Patriarcal

Below the lake and fountains in Jardim do Príncipe Real, you can find “The Reservatório da Patriarchal”. The reservoir was constructed in 1864 to feed Lisbon. You can only visit it during the weekend and it is for free.

If you’re passionate about chocolate, you should not miss this spot. They sell special products that come from their family plantation in São Tomé and Príncipe islands in Africa.

4. Frangasqueira Nacional

If you want to enjoy delicious barbeque chicken, you can try Frangasqueira. It is cheap too!
