Chiado
If you like being in the center of things, Chiado is a good option, it is the Fifth Avenue of Lisbon. You can walk many of the most touristic Lisbon destinations such as Principe Real, Baixa, and Cais do Sodre. For the rest, you can easily take the tram or metro from Chiado.

Principe Real
If you want some quiet place for your accommodation but don’t want to miss out on being in the center, Principe Real is the best choice for you. This neighbor has a beautiful garden where you can have your morning detours. It also offers a beautiful view of the city and the river if you go to Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara. Principe Real is also the host of some of the best restaurants and cafes in Lisbon.

Baixa
Baixa is close to the Chiado neighborhood. Contrary to Principe Real, Baixa is often quite loud and busy, however, while your stay in Baixa, you can just walk around the center without needing any transportation. Due to its centrality, you’ll find many attractions around you: Praça do Comércio, Santa Justa elevator, Lisbon Story Centre, Rua Augusta archway, Rossio square.

Campo de Ourique
If you are traveling with your family and love to have some peace around instead of the busy night-life, you should consider staying in Campo de Ourique. In Campo de Ourique, you can try quality and local tastes for reasonable prices. Being a tourist is great but it can sometimes mean rip-off and staying in Campo de Ourique will make you feel less touristy when it comes to your spendings. While you’re there, don’t forget to visit Basilica de Estrela on the edge of the Jardim de Estrela. If the weather is good, consider having a picnic in the Jardim. The only downside is that it is a little far from the center compared to the other locations on our list.
