1Location of LX Factory
The hipster town of the Portuguese capital is on the way to Belém from the central Lisbon. Located just under the Ponte 25 de Abril, LX Factory resides in the Alcântara district. Open address for the place is Rua Rodrigues de Faria 103, Lisbon. To reach here, it is possible to use trams or buses. Tram no 15 and buses 714 and 727 stop at LX Factory. Train from Cais do Sodré to Alcântara is another option. By walking it takes around an hour to reach LX Factory from the city center. The place is usually quite crowded so it might be a bad idea to go there in a car.
2History of LX Factory
Formerly a thread and fabric manufacturing site, LX Factory has been restructured as a trendy space after 2008. This 23,000 m2 of industrial area still has its manufacturing offices, but now it also is home to many shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Now that the area has a wide spectrum of offerings, tourists from all over the world visiting Lisbon also visit this postmodern setting.

In this grotesquely beautiful, experimental space of fun in the Portuguese capital, there are plenty of things to do to spend quality time. Starting the day with an amazing breakfast in one of the sweet cafes of the district is always a good option. Reading some books, shopping, even getting a massage is possible in this amazing area while waiting to get hungry and try another one of the hip restaurants.
